Orchards and cider mills offer sweet end to summer

Area orchards and cider mills are open for the season, offering treats such as apple cider, doughnuts, pies and fresh apples, plus activities including corn mazes, fun runs, petting zoos and playgrounds, and coming soon — hay rides and pumpkin patches. Also the Apple Shack is open 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. with already picked apples by the half peck and bushel.
